**GVK9 will prioritize new dogs interested in consistent daycare services in addition to any boarding needs**
Enrollment process at GVK9 is as follows:
-Fill out the pre-approval application. Once we've reviewed your application and feel that your dog might be the right fit for our facility they will be invited for an Introduction Day!
This is a full day of daycare (8 hours) in which our staff will monitor your dog and see what play group they will fit into. Your dog MUST be able to participate in group play in order to attend our facility. (No exceptions)
If your dog will be boarding with us, we will require an overnight trial boarding stay to happen at customers earliest convenience.
Provide vaccinations and health records.
Must have updated vaccines or dogs are not allowed into the facility for services.
Vaccinations required for GVK9 are:
- Current Rabies
- Yearly Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
- DHPP/DHLPP (Distemper/Parvo)
**Owners, not GVK9, are responsible for keeping dogs up to date on all shots and providing updated records as needed**
At time of check in for boarding, we require a local emergency contact who is willing and able to take your dog to the vet in case of an emergency. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
If you do not have an emergency contact, we will be unable to board your dog.
*GVK9 will NOT transport any sick dog in need of medical attention to any vet*
IMPORTANT CURRENT CLIENT INFORMATION
We want all of our boarding pups to have the best experience possible, but if your dog is a client of GVK9 and has not been to our facility in six plus months, we will require one day of daycare to reintroduce your dog to us and the facility, no less than one month before your next boarding stay.
What Do I Bring?
Please bring your dog's food. If you have a specific scoop that you use that's great! During check in we will go over feeding amounts and instructions to confirm. We highly encourage bringing your food in pre-packed baggies!
WE DO NOT ACCEPT RAW HIDES OR BULLY STICKS.
Medication
All clients are required to fill out a medication form when checking dog in for boarding.
Any medications and medical issues will be discussed prior to drop off. We are not a medical boarding facility: dogs with severe medical issues will not be accepted.
Any required medications must arrive in their original containers and include instructions regarding dosage amount and times for administration. Please pre-cut any medication if need be. If your dog requires cheese or peanut butter to take their medications, we encourage owners to bring what is needed for the boarding stay. If dogs require cheese or peanut butter and do not supply their own, there will be a daily charge. We do not administer any injectable medications, including insulin.
We cannot accept medications mixed with food.
Our staff does not "pill" dogs. (i.e. we will never force a medication into a dog's mouth)
*Green Valley K9 reserves the right to refuse care for any dog where the owner has failed to disclose any medical conditions, injuries or illness prior to drop off.
Dog Beds
Green Valley K9 provides a raised bed with the option to add on a fleece cover at no cost. We will not accept outside bedding or blankets.
What to expect for your dogs' stay:
- Rooms range from 3x5 to 9x12 ft. Dogs are booked according to weight.
- All rooms feature a window to the outside for natural light.
- A raised Kuranda bed is available for each pup with a soft fleece cover when requested.
- Sanitized bowl with water filled throughout the day.
One of our four wings is dedicated exclusively to dogs under 40 pounds. Smaller sized beds with the same fleece covering are also provided.
**Socialization is never guaranteed.
We require all dog's participating in group play to exhibit friendly acceptable behaviors. If your dog displays negative body language, rough play, repeated mounting, they may be pulled from group either permanently or for the day. This will always be at the discretion of kennel staff.
